Our attorneys visited the SIPO (China Patent Office)

On July 30, 2018, President Yoshitake Kihara and patent attorneys Mr. Atsushi Nagano and Mr. Tomohiro Takahashi made a courtesy visit to Mr. He Zhimin, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO*1).  SIPO’s Deputy Commissioner Mr. He Zhimin was a counterpart of Mr. Kihara when He was JPO’s Deputy Commissioner.(*1SIPO was renamed to CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) on August 28, 2018.)

At this visit, Deputy Commissioner Mr. He Zhimin explained the current situation of the SIPO and President Kihara stated expectations for the SIPO and the current status of intellectual property rights in Japan from the viewpoint of a patent attorney.
